MFC TO THE RESCUE
MFC Survival, Mangar International's sister company, produces inflatable rescue products that are being used extensively by the Emergency Services to save people, animals and possessions across the UK in the recent floods.
MFC Survival designs and manufactures a range of inflatable equipment to assist in emergency rescue situations throughout the world. In the July floods the Airtrack walkway has been seen in action in Hull and Tewksbury, rescuing stranded people from their flooded homes. The Airtrack is ideal for this use due to its catamaran type construction which gives complete stability on water.
In a rescue exercise on the Thames mudflats, two men were rescued from the mud, again using the Airtrack walkway. This versatile product enabled a successful rescue without undue risk to those Emergency Service Personnel who carried it out.
