About Us
What do we do?
Here at Mangar International we have two core objectives:
1. To enable people to retain their independence and dignity for as long as possible
2. To reduce strain and injury risk for carers.
We achieve these by designing products and rehabilitation equipment for disabled and elderly people to help with everyday tasks such as getting in and out of bed, taking a bath, and lifting a fallen person from the floor.
Millions of people experience difficulty with tasks like these. With such a wide range of simple solutions available such as bathlifts, pillow lifts and emergency lifting cushions, there is no need to struggle and put yourself and others at risk of injury.
What makes us different from the rest?
Mangar International is a family business which stands for honest values. The company started in 1981 when founder and Chairman David Garman invented the world's first powered portable bathlift to enable an elderly relative to bathe safely in private without relying on David to lift him in and out of the bath.
We have come a long way since then, growing into an internationally recognised supplier of rehabilitation products and moving and handling equipment, but have always kept the needs of our customers at the very centre of everything we do.
