The two main medical lift devices are the ELK (Emergency Lifting Kushion) and the CAMEL (Complete Air Moving Elevating Lift). Both medical lifts are operated by a low pressure, battery powered air compressor called the Airflo. Both of the medical lift chairs have unique internal structures to increase strength to provide secure and rigid support for the person being lifted from the ground. Depending on the medical lift chosen, they are designed to lift people from 700 lbs, up to 1,000 lbs, and can be used both indoors or out.
